First, why not just finish the Keystone XL pipeline? It is almost finished anyway. There never has been such a complete asshat as Joe Biden. Never. He had no authority to stop Keystone XL anyway. It was one of his unconstitutional "executive orders".

They won’t allow the serious work to start prior to Nov. 2024, then they’ll kill it.

Why? Does he realize it might be beneficial to the country? I can’t believe it will happen.

    Bingo. Propaganda..
With the RIGHT hand Biden says "drill baby drill"..
With the LEFT hand Biden assists environmental groups who will fight relentlessly to SHUT IT DOWN.
This is like the student loan forgiveness road that leads to nowhere.

Drill, baby drill... is just words...
while the president prepares the SOTU speech and soon after announces running for president again...
Meanwhile, he knows that drilling takes time to get going... and by the time the campaigns are over...
he does a Peanuts move and pulls away the football at the end of the campaigning, if he, by some miracle (aka: stealing the election again) wins a second term.

Just remember that nothing is mentioned about the intended destination of this oil if drilled.

All of the previous 'concerns' over birds and wildlife/caribou have PROVEN to be rubbish.
 Alaska North Slope

 and

 Equivalent area in Russia

I have personally been to both the Komi Republic and the North Slope of Alaska. Cannot compare the two.
Images are supersized so you can see any spilled oil - or complete lack thereof....

why not just finish the Keystone XL pipeline? That ship has sailed. The Canadians got tired of US government farting around with it and made other arrangements.

The United States is now producing >12 million barrels per day with WTI at $76.70. The price may need to edge up a bit to get new fields in Alaska into production.

To: Olog-hai
Let me guess, they’ll allow drilling in locations that make no economic sense to drill.

France is now a net exporter of electricity .
With 44 reactors now finally reconnected out of 56, France’s nuclear power availability has hit 73.7 percent. Great news.

…and the move — while not final — drew immediate anger from environmentalists who saw it as a betrayal of the president’s pledges to reduce carbon emissions and promote clean energy sources. Oooooh, anger!
Screw those brain-dead, spoiled, virtue-signaling, low IQ wankers.
(This is just 2024 election pandering, anyway.)
