Now that we are empty nesters, I only do some of those things. I used to do all of those things. I have delegated the finances to my husband to relieve myself of a few duties. I have dubbed myself the CPO (Chief Procurement Officer) of our happy little family, and I hate spending money unless it’s necessary. Gotta run a tight ship. One of these days TSGHTF, and I want to be prepared when it does. Joe Burden and Congress make that possibility closer each and every day.
We are very happy, though, because we cherish what we each bring to the marriage. Lots of give and take. Of course, the Lord is the backbone of our marriage. We would be nowhere without Him.
I hope she delegates some things to me after I retire. Can’t think of anything she would let be do though. Most likely house work. I don’t mind cleaning at all. 20 years in the military made me a pro!!
