Trump attacking Desantis is the worst.
I’d vote for Trump again, but nothing makes me more demoralized about his candidacy than this.
I’ll bet that they both know how to play the Political game.

Time will tell if its a good idea or not. Personally, I don’t have a problem wth what Trump is doing. DeSantis is being coy about his intentions, while his disciples & minions shred Trump every day for ‘something.’ So Trump is hitting back.
Also, all this we are all on the same team stuff is a joke after the 2016 Republican Convention.
That was the one where a bunch of losers & suckers didn’t show up and support the ‘team.
I don’t see any chance DeSantis is going to be Trump’s VP running mate. It will be somebody like Kari Lake who isn’t a bad choice at all.
Seems less likely today than it did 6 months ago, that’s for sure.
But it was probably more wish fulfillment than anything real. The only person (Robert Barnes) that I know of who has direct access to both the Trump and DeSantis camps who was spreading the rumor has backed off recently.
And why is that “hiding”?
I would think that’s smart politics, myself. Get all your ducks (money raising) in a row first.

The false equivalency analogies to Jeb, etc. show a lack of perception.
President Trump’s not a conservative in my book like Ronnie was, but is an America-firster which I like. Good man. Honest. Doesn’t try to hide his self-interest and self-serving motives. Which is unusual for a politician, I will give him that.
I fear he can’t win the Presidency with just big rallies among the base and avalanches of tweets.
At some point he or his surrogates (Does he have any?) need to articulate how exactly we combat ballot harvesting shenanigans and the like.
Sometime I feel like we’re back in middle school choosing a prom king. I guess that’s what we deserve.

Because he’s not running for President yet...he’s just a phantom candidate shielding himself from having to answer the tough questions. Those are the questions that the answers to differentiate a governor’s policies from the president’s policies. The quicker he gets them out there, the more credibility they have.
With President Trump, we know what we get. With DeSantis, it’s left up to innuendo, supposition, hyperbole and guessing.
Is he waiting to have his policies established for him, based on what his financiers demand of him? Is that what it is? You make it sound like that.
It should be the other way around, his policies should bring the financing from like-minded entities, to ensure he’s not owned. I suspect the longer he waits, the more suspicious he becomes. It’s not that he hasn’t made up his mind to run, it’s that he’s signaling he’s not going take a stance on policies until someone purchases all of his direction.
If I’m right, he’ll be the very last one to announce.

There is a local Trump supporter who has a morning news radio show. He said today he’s had enough of it and would vote DeSantis in a primary.
I would think this is not going either any favors.
It would be hilarious if Trump and DeSantis are teaming up and bait the media to take their eye off the the real deal.

DeSantis also lavished praise on Trump, at least as a comparison to Democrats, saying that Trump prevented aggression from Putin while neither Biden nor President Barack Obama did so.
âThe media spent four years saying that Trump was some type of agent of Russia,â DeSantis said. âAnd yet, when I was in Congress when Obama was President, Obama refused to send weapons to Ukraine. When Trump was President, we sent weapons to Ukraine. Putin didnât like that very much.
âWhen Obama was President, Putin took Crimea. When Trump was President, they didnât take anything. And now Bidenâs President and theyâre rolling into Ukraine,â DeSantis said.
