I didn't mean to say that Vegas didn't make any money on any Super Bowl bets. At the time of Super Bowl XIII, MOST Super Bowl bets were point spreads. There's not as many props, few teasers and parlays when there is only one game scheduled.
The point spread was -4, though it might have varied in Pittsburgh and Dallas (of course, that's not Vegas, but gambling happens). PUSHES are TIES. On that particular Super Bowl, MOST of the money bet was refunded, and Vegas made less money than they would have on the vig with any other outcome.
