I like the one about Biden’s Praetorian Guard, but it could be a bit ambiguous. The Praetorian Guard often chose the emperor, who stayed only as long as the Guard was happy with him. So it would have been more accurate back then to say, “The Praetorian Guard’s Emperor.”
It looks, sadly, every day more accurate in Biden’s case, as well. Now the question is, does today’s Praetorian Guard choose when the Emperor leaves office, too?
