I have Croissants 3-4x/ week — have done so for many years — some with Kerrygold Irish Butter, others with sugar-free Smucker’s Preserves. Good start to the mornings.

A good croissant is triangular, puffy and light, buttery without being too greasy. Not an easy thing to do unless you have the technique down.

The croissant (crescent) was invented in Vienna to celebrate the victory of the Austrians over the Ottoman Turks. The Bakers of Vienna heard the Turks trying to tunnel under the walls and told the defenders.
