About 2 weeks ago, the BBC sent reporters into China to try to look past the official numbers and make some estimates. They found hospitals were packed with people in hallways and they found the crematoriums were working full time.
Their estimate at the time was 15,000 deaths per day. Probably more important, they were laying out specifics about how China does counting that I had not heard before.
The WHO guidelines on declaration of a COVID death are and have been for 2 or 3 years that the death must be caused by or substantially contributed to by the virus. The entire world generally follows this with the exception of China.
In China, a covid death requires respiratory failure. It has always been difficult for this to take place in the presence of ventilators. So their numbers get quoted low.
Compounding this problem is the nature of the newest variant. It kills by reaching heart tissue, and kidneys. This particular evidence did not come from China. Japan in recent weeks has been experiencing the largest number of deaths per day it has seen since the virus arrived in the world. Almost nobody in Japan hospitals are on ventilators. They have not needed them, because they were dying by this new mechanism.
So the Chinese count will officially fail to capture the correct numbers. The BBC had its estimate a few weeks ago that I quoted above and now this new British firm is making their estimate.
It’s useful to point out that these populations were just as vaxed three months ago as they are now. They’re dying because the virus has mutated and that mutation penetrates all forms of immunity and kills people. If the vax were killing them it would have been killing them three months ago in the same way as now. So that ain’t it.
And also useful to point out that fear is not involved. The virus doesn’t care about who is afraid. It has defeated vax.
One last item. US excess deaths over the past three to six weeks in the relevant age groups of 74-85, and 85+, exceed their curve of last year at the exact same time. Last year at this time we were still seeing enormous covid death counts from the residual Delta surge and the beginning of Omicron. We are not seeing those counts right now, but excess deaths say they are happening in the only age groups that matter. It is likely that the new death mechanism of this variant is causing attribution of death to be things other than covid. This is credible in that for 2 years doctors are used to seeing plummeting blood oxygen levels as the patient descends to death and now with this new variant and it’s new mechanism they don’t see that and they don’t count it as covid, even with a positive test.

You need to reread your own post—very carefully.
The issue is not whether the vax in isolation is killing people—it is whether the vax in combination with the new strains is killing people.
Your post is classic “goal seeking” “science”.
You know the result you want and then ignore any data or analysis that might conflict with it.
