The question “What is a woman?” infiltrated the cultural zeitgeist in 2022, and in 2023, it appears to still be at the forefront of fierce debate.
But in this particular instance, it’s not a question about the immutable qualities that make a person a woman — no, this time it’s more about the age at which a woman can no longer claim to be a “girl.”
Or, more specifically, a girl who’s a high school student.
According to multiple reports, including from New Brunswick Today, a 29-year-old woman was able to dupe authorities and officials for four days and successfully pose as a high school student at New Brunswick High School in New Jersey.
“By filing false documents, an adult female posing as a student was able to be enrolled in our high school,” New Brunswick Public School District Superintendent Aubrey Johnson told the Board of Education during its meeting Tuesday, according to New Brunswick Today.
“She was here for four days before being found out, and barred from entering the district property,” Johnson said. “All appropriate authorities were immediately notified, and the individual in question has now been arrested for providing false documentation.”
Of note, Johnson did not provide any additional information, such as the woman’s age, when she was arrested or which authorities were notified of the incident.

Hats off to anyone who can be 29 years old, and pass for 18 years old, even for four days.
Just reading the headline, I assumed this would be a California story.
In Hollywood films, high school students are often portrayed by actors in their 20s.
I thought for a moment she wanted to improve her English.
Generally speaking many Asians don’t look their age..... thats been my experience at least.
Where were these students when I went to high school!
But seriously - isn’t that more reasonable than claiming to be another sex? Maturity varies wildly, especially with snowflakes.

A few years ago, i was talking to a female friend and we were discussing aging. I made some comment like “many Italian women don’t age well.”
She reminded me that she’s Italian. (Open mouth, insert foot, chew vigorously)
I countered with “I said many. That didn’t include you.”
It truly didn’t. She’s in her late 50’s and is aging well.
At my High School - [50 years ago] we had older students. One was a Mom who never had the chance to finish high school. Her kids were in the same class.
The school was open to any residents who wanted to enroll.
When I was in 3rd Grade, 1963, we had a ‘student’ that was a teenager.........................
At least Olivia was not trying to pass herself off as a freshman.
