A Louisiana man was sentenced to 45 years in prison on Wednesday after he to kidnap and attempted to murder gay teens Jeffrey Dahmer style in attempt to 'satisfy a compulsive murder-fantasy.'
Chance Seneca, 21, pleaded guilty in September on kidnapping charges after it was revealed he used the Grindr dating app and Snapchat to persuade men into meeting with the goal of 'murdering and dismembering' them.
Seneca spent months perfecting his murder-kidnapping plan to mirror Dahmer's actions of targeting gay men, killing them and eating and preserving their bodies, the Department of Justice wrote in a press release.
The attempted serial killer's first victim was then 18-year-old Holden White - who Seneca successfully coaxed and used several methods in attempt to kill him.
'The facts of this case are truly shocking, and the defendant's decision to specifically target gay men is a disturbing reminder of the unique prejudices and dangers facing the LGBTQ+ community today,' Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke said.
Seneca, who is also gay, drove White to an isolated Lafayette Parish home where he took out a handgun and forced the victim to put on handcuffs on June 19, 2020.
White was then was stabbed, strangled and battered by Seneca until the kidnapper believed he was dead.

After investigating, an officer reported back to the dispatcher.
Officer: "The intoxicated Asian naked male (laughter in background) was returned to his sober boyfriend (more laughter)."
An officer later said the assignment was done and the squad was ready for new duties.
Officer: "Ten-four. It will be a minute. My partner is going to get deloused at the station." (Laughter on the tape.)
Unchecked bias can lead to great bodily harm or death in professional situations involving law enforcement and medicine. Professionals need to remain objective.
I notice this was the federal hate crime case. He still faces charges in state court.
There are risks involved in choosing a risky lifestyle?
Who knew? smh
This is getting ridiculous.
The death penalty needs to be brought back and used judiciously.
These days with video technology often actually recording the crime, there’s not as much margin of error in identifying the perp and establishing guilt. In those cases, stop with the appeals. The person did it. It’s plainly seen. Protect society by permanently removing the threat.
This coddling of criminals has got to stop. They never gave their victims the benefit of mercy and humane treatment or cared about their rights. Give them what they dished out.
Good job, Netflix!
This particular criminal is obviously mentally ill. He called the police and confessed, stopping the planned series of crimes.
So gay-on-gay crime and us straight WASPs are still to blame?!?
Keep it up, lefties. No mention of the inherent risks of wading around in that... "lifestyle"..
Why you blame Netflix? Blame Jeff Dahmer! Even before the Netflix show there were copycats out there, several in fact. Not just here but a few in Europe. Netflix just reminded us of the horror and tired to make the cops seem uncaring and homophobic. Honestly they forget what year this happened. Those cops just wanted to go home without catching the AIDS from Dahmer.
It’s good he did that.
Mental hospitals need to be brought back and well supervised. I realize a lot of abuse used to happen i them.
But mental illness aside, the person is still a danger to society.
Absolutely he is a danger. He will spend the next several decades in prison.
Imitation of the failure of imagination... So if you’re going to be a serial killer... How about some originality?
I'm guessing even those who don't call the police and confess after plotting to kill, dismember and eat another human are mentally ill as well. :-)
No. That is the baseline of humans. Humans are bad by nature.
Humans have to be taught morality. Judeo/Christian morality has shown itself, coupled with market capitalism, to be the best at promoting the greatest good.
"Unique dangers" is Grindr. "Prejudices" is gay on gay.
