PING
As a D&D fan, I’m not really impressed. I think that these type of movies only really work if you are using established and accepted mythologies that people know. I don’t think it works when nothing in the trailer has anything familiar.
I will be surprised if this does well.
It looks like the “white guy” is only there for comedic relief and will need to be constantly saved by his betters: the women and people of color.
Decades ago, I used to hear some strange things about Dungeons and Dragons games. That it was addictive, that it was heavy with satanic symbology and such. This mainly from my radio listening. Paul Harvey and Focus on the Family were quite concerned with the latent power of role playing.
I have since met some of those who grew up playing it in the 1980’s. They don’t give any obvious indication of being souls that have been spiritually soiled. No more than most people.
That means it’s going to suck, alot.
looks kind of lame... like who really plays a bard? I’ll still try and see it. Forgotten Realms is cool, but Ping me when DragonLance comes to the big screen.
They should make a flick based on Dragonlance Chronicles.
Get a Director that read the books and will hire white people.
No fags or woke BS.
D&D has been Mary Sued?!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
FWIW John Francis Daley, one of the directors, also played Sweets on Bones for a number of years.
