As a D&D fan, I’m not really impressed. I think that these type of movies only really work if you are using established and accepted mythologies that people know. I don’t think it works when nothing in the trailer has anything familiar.
I will be surprised if this does well.

If it’s not based on “Tomb of Horrors”, I ain’t watching it. That stupid campaign still gives me nightmares and I haven’t touched it since ‘82!

A true D&D movie would have the characters try something absurdly simple and fail due to bad dice rolling, not to mention failed saving throws...
