A coroner confirmed that Madi Brooks died from 'multiple traumatic injuries' when she was hit by a car after allegedly being raped.
Two Good Samaritans reportedly stopped to perform CPR on the 19-year-old sophomore LSU student after the collision on January 15.
East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner's Office says that they were guided by first responders on the phone in the pouring rain after Madi was hit by the ride-share car.
Before the incidents, she was reportedly raped by a 17-year-old boy, who has not been identified, and Kaivon Washingon, 18.
Both have been arrested and charged with third-degree rape, and two other men – Everett Lee, 28, and Casen Carver, 18, have been charged with being accessories to the incident.
The coroner confirmed that Madi's cause of death is 'multiple traumatic injuries, 2nd motor vehicle collision vs pedestrian' – meaning Madi was left incapacitated at the scene but died at the hospital.
No further information is being released at this time, with police confirming that the driver of the vehicle will not be charged as he was not impaired and contacted emergency services immediately.
A memorial has been created for the 'amazing young woman' who had 'limitless potential' by her friends on the highway where she died.

“I don’t how somebody so young can have a BAC over 0.3, which is three times the drinking limit.”
Sure, the current limit. Remember, MADD campaigned for many years to have the limit lowered to .08, since nearly anyone can then get cited for “drunk driving” if they have imbibed at all. Before that it was often 0.15 or 0.2, etc. Certain 0.3 is enough for someone to be quite drunk, but it’s not an unusual level for a drunk person or something hard at all to achieve if you are out for a night on the town.
We have more than our share of stupid judges in Louisiana. I know some of them personally.
There’s GHB and other narcotics, but they don’t raise BAC.
.3 is very high for a novice.
I can’t imagine that happening.
At least two of them have admitted to having sex with her. A third walked out of the police interview when asked to voluntarily submit a DNA swab... which to me indicates he probably participated as well.
There is more than that out there.
There is a drug I’m aware of that is basically a hypnotic drug. Once taken, you are under the influence of whomever gave you the drug and you no will power. One person I read about helped some thieves empty his apartment of everything. He told the security guard that he wanted the stuff gone, because he was told by whomever gave him the drug that he, the victim, wanted the stuff gone.
He woke up to an empty apartment and he didn’t know how that happened.
There is more to what we know.
? Who was wrong? The one who said she was too drunk to consent to sex?
I am not defendung anyone.
Apparently you think only Docs can know if someone is too drunk to make coherent decisions.
I’m saying what those guys did to her is wrong.
I’m also saying what some guy in the front seat says is purely speculative.
I also think when it comes to the trial, he will say the police pressured him to say that.
we have Freepers who were not taught anything, too.
pathetic....
Castrate them and make them swallow it! Start putting the fear in these evil spawns of Satan!!!!
I’m aware of other drugs as stated. They do not raise BAC.
This isn’t some Sherlock Holmes mystery.
This is stupid ghetto blacks being black.
How about “what the hell is wrong with men” instead of putting the blame on this poor kid! Didn’t anyone ever tell these f-tards life is more than just wanking off?! I hope they rot in prison but we all know they’ll most likely get off, again!
Absolutely what they did was wrong even if she did seem to agree.IT WAS WRONG.
Why would the police want the guy to say she was too drunk to consent? Why would police want to help the other dudes?
How is that helping the other guys?
It’s closing the case on the ones who had sex/raped her.
They were no doubt raised without men in their lives and raised to violence. Fixing that is a much bigger project. Until that can be done, kids (boys and girls) need to be taught about the world before they leave the nest. Rule #1. Pretty young blonde girls do not leave a bar with four POCs.
True. My error.
Quite alright.
“As a father I would personally end these two”
In another time, the community and the courts would have lifted that burden off of the grieving father’s shoulders.
