Come See The Racism Inherent In The Paint Chip!

It sounds like a bad joke about woke gone amok, but it’s not. Norway’s University of Bergen is sponsoring research into the burning question of whether and how white paint contributes to white supremacy and why Norway should feel guilty about it because of its role in it.

It turns out, you see, that Norwegians were behind the innovation of titanium white paint, which is considered pure white.

The university wants researchers to explore “the cultural and aesthetic changes instigated by titanium white … and how can both the material in itself and these changes be conceptualized and made visible?”

This story quickly made the rounds in conservative circles. But let’s take a closer look. And, holy cow, does racism in the paint industry run deep!

Examine with us, if you will, the color wheel of Sherwin-Williams, the largest paint manufacturer in the country and brags that it covers the earth. There are literally dozens of variations of white, all of them with lovely-sounding names such as:

-Greek Villa

-Pearly White

-Extra White

-Pure White

-Reserved White

-Incredible White

-Nice White

-Windfresh White.

There are, in contrast, only a handful of black shades with not-so-lovely names like:

-Black Swan

-Anchors Aweigh

-Mineral Gray

-Inkwell

Go over to Benjamin Moore and you find white colors with names such as Pristine and Palace White vs. black shades named Topsoil and Sharkskin.

Need we say more?

Plus, while we haven’t done any research in this area, our guess it that these companies sell far more whites than blacks, or even browns, or reds, or yellows.

Is it any wonder we are plagued with white supremacy everywhere we turn?

In case anyone is confused, we aren’t serious.

But it’s hard to tell these days. The left has politicized everything else, why not paint colors?

The idea that a prestigious institution would waste time and money on what is perhaps one of the most idiotic areas of inquiry is a sign of how deeply woke culture has penetrated. What’s next? Forcing children to learn about “critical paint theory”?

Our concern isn’t that the research will turn up evidence of heretofore hidden racism in paint colors. It’s that someone in the woke army will read this editorial and mount a campaign demanding that paint companies reorganize and rename their paint charts, that they include one black color variation for every white one, they hire more people of color in their stores, etc.

Ever notices how the left STEALS and DESTROYS words?

The word "woke" means "awake, alert, informed, cognizant of deception, and recognizing a hidden truth" (my definition). The word "woke" recently referred to those were awake to the schemes and manipulations of the left and their higher-ups. So they appropriated the word, and applied it to themselves, bringing confusion, blurring the real "woke" and knowing that they are anything but woke. They are deceived, and controlled by lies.

Just like "gay", just like the rainbow, the left has attempted to steal "woke". They want us to conform to their redefinitions. I for one won't let let them.

I am a woke, rainbow-loving, gay patriotic American!
