Whatever happened to THE CLUB.
I visited my best friend 35 years ago when he moved to San Antonio. EVERYONE had a CLUB device to put on their steering wheel because car thefts were very high in the area due to its proximity to Ol Mexico.
The Club was relatively inexpensive especially in comparison to what a LOJACK system cost at the time.
Sounds to me like IF you own one of these lower priced South Korean autos you might want to buy a CLUB.

You don’t see them much anymore because once they became widespread, the thieves discovered that they could quickly cut the steering wheel and pull the Club off. The Club will stop a joyriding teen, but not a pro.
The Club was easily defeated by hacksawing through the steering wheel, which usually only has a small ring of metal in the middle of the padded rim.
But I don't know if the "Kia Boyz" would work that hard for a joy ride.
The theft is so bad here in the Cleveland, Oh market that police stations are giving them away for FREE!
Other night the local apartment complex had 3 of these vehicles stolen!

“ Whatever happened to THE CLUB.”
We stopped applying the club to the heads of car thieves.

I watched a kid saw through the steering wheel with a hacksaw and remove the club in under 30 seconds.
Ever cut into a modern steering wheel? They are designed to collapse in a wreck. You can cut the steering wheel in seconds and render The Club worthless. The best defense is Trunk Monkey.
