Letting pets run free in remote subdivisions isn’t a good idea, he said.

So you move to a remote area because it is remote and has wild animals, and then you are surprised when there are wild animals there that could eat Fido?

If you don’t want Fido to get ate, don’t let Fido go out where he can get ate.

Or stay in the damn city where you belong.

We have three hanging around our neighborhood in rural Washington. Sometimes our dogs won’t leave our front porch.

Usually it’s young cats who get pushed down the hill by the big cats and get hungry. Pets make readily available snacks.

Coonhounds are literally bred for it and will tree them. Irish wolfhounds will just run.

I wish something would eat my neighbor’s 6 endlessly yapping schnauzers. Can you rent mountain lions?

If I had one I’d be glad to rent it to you. I’d probably use it first have you keep it a while so my neighbors don’t blame me for their dogs disappearing. (They don’t bother me because I can sleep through anything, but they drive my wife crazy.)

i meant more to have as pets instead of cat snacks like yorkies or other smaller dogs that hte cats seem fond of eating- Saw a vid of wolfhounds putting a serious hurting on a pack of coyotes that had surrounded another dog- they come charging in and the coyotes didn’t want anything to do with them after gettign the tar knocked out of them-

Of ya. They’re huge. Not too many things want to tangle with them.

“Once a lion learns that pets can provide a relatively easy meal, they are more likely to continue pursuing that food source.”

You learn something new every day... I didn't know that Mountain Lions were Chinese.

WOW! That is one of the biggest mountain lions I have ever seen. Yes I’ve seen many, used to hunt them with zeal.
