The festering rot at the FBI seems bigger and deeper than we ever guessed

Charles McGonigal, a retired counterintelligence investigator from the FBI’s New York Field Office, was just arrested because he allegedly took substantial sums of money from Oleg Deripaska, a Russian billionaire, to get the latter off a U.S. sanctions list. Where this goes beyond the ordinary corruption that periodically crops up among people with too much power, too few morals, and too little accountability is that McGonigal was one of the people investigating Trump over the Russia Hoax, while Deripaska employed Christopher Steele, whose false dossier seeded the Russia Hoax.

Anyone who paid attention during the “hot” years of the Russia Hoax recognizes Deripaska’s name. He was a close ally of Vladimir Putin and, in 2018, the U.S. government sanctioned him for his involvement in Russia’s 2014 annexation of Crimea. Specifically with regard to the Russia Hoax, in 2021, Jerry Dunleavy summarized how closely allied Steele and Deripaska were:

Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska is known for his ties to President Vladimir Putin, as well as his prior business relationships with Steele and former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort. [snip]

The Senate Intelligence Committee’s 1,000-page report last year found that “the Russian government coordinates with and directs Deripaska on many of his influence operations.”

Steele and his company, Orbis Business Intelligence, worked for Deripaska in 2016, helping recover millions of dollars the Russian oligarch claimed Manafort had stolen from him. Steele sought help in this anti-Trump research effort from Fusion GPS, and the company hired Steele soon after.

The investigation found “multiple links between Steele and Deripaska” and “indications that Deripaska had early knowledge of Steele’s work.” Steele’s continued relationship with Deripaska “provid[ed] a potential direct channel for Russian influence on the dossier.”

Those “multiple links” played directly into the Russia Hoax:...

Selling out our individual liberty and freedom to foreign communist countries has clearly been done by the FBI, but I think the greatest betrayal was by 0bama and Xao Bi-Dung, the maoist communists.

The KGB/FBI should be shut down and everyone who worked there in any capacity barred from working for the US government for life.

If your individual liberty and liberty were sold then you wouldn’t be able to post on a site like this...think about that.

Its been proven that Russia was never a threat to our elections, to our voting systems, to social media, to political influence-buying

But rather, the DOJ/FBI has meddled in all those things.

So who is the real enemy to the Republic?

“The festering rot at the THE ENTIRE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT seems bigger and deeper than we ever guessed”

The founding fathers were wise and knew big government was the enemy of individual liberty. By giving the federal government few enumerated powers, and by instituting multiple checks and balances, they hoped to limit the ability of the federal government to grow and become tyrannical. Unfortunately future generations chose to ignore the worlds of the Constitution. Through Amendments to the Constitution, court opinions, the abdication by Congress of its budgetary responsibility, and all branches of government simply ignoring the language of the document, government has grown beyond any scale the founders could envision and has become completely corrupted in the process.

"...seems bigger and deeper than we ever guessed"

As usual, the AmericanStinker is out-of-phase with reality...
What drivel!

The FBI (as well as several other federal agencies) has been rotten to the core for many, many decades...

It does not seem to be anything!
It is, and always will be, as rotten as any despotic and corrupt goveernment organization in history has ever been...

Oh you should see the media reaction...at first there is a bunch of “hes tied to Trump” proclamations. Then the actual facts come quickly that this guy peddled the Russia Hoax investigation against Orange Man bad.

Not true. It implies we thought there was some redeeming value in the entire federal government. In the past five years or so I have come to the conclusion that my government, the country I have loved and served, is wholly corrupt beyond redemption to the point that I no longer fly the American outside my home because of the abject corruption and exporting of evil to other countries.

Yes, well, those things have happened deliberately validating the grave concerns of the Anti-Federalists at the time of constitutional ratification. The Constitution needed to be ratified and was, but the concerns of the Anti-Federalist were valid then as now.

We live in a fallen world and only the coronation of Christ as King of kings and Lord of lords - coming soon - will fix this fallen world.

In the meantime, remember, the Constitution CREATED the federal government and the Constitution is the SUPREME LAW OF THE LAND (Art. 6, Cl. 2). (Again, ONLY those federal laws (AND Court decisions) that are PURSUANT to the Constitution are valid (same article and clause as cited above).)

That means that what we have is an 80%+ illegal and criminal government. WE THE PEOPLE have the high moral and legal ground not them. When enough people realize this, maybe by God’s grace and Divine Providence we can recover our Free Constitutional Republic.
