Claire Booth Luce once observed that “Communism is the opiate of the intellectuals”. Sounds just about right to me!
Ok. You piqued my interest with that little oxymoron.
I’ll get back to you after watching...
I watched this, the guy is absolutely correct.
It’s a pity his presentation is somewhat lacking but he seems sincere and his reasoning seems sound to me.
Fight the midwit! :-)
Hosea 4:6 KJV - My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

6:02. Being intelligent tends to be associated with social skill...weakly. There is a .3 correlation between your IQ and your ability to solve social problems. So intelligent people are good at solving social problems. They are socially skilled. They are altruistic. However, at a VERY high level of IQ - I mean, we're talking about over 130 at an extreme high level of IQ - this relationship breaks down. Because as I've looked at in another video, intelligence seems to become to be associated with aspects of Autism, i.e. the inability to solve social problems, with being socially inept. Why does this happen? Well, it happens for a number of reasons: First of all, what is Autism? Autism involves being highly, highly systematic and the contrast of that is being highly, highly empathetic, ah, very, very high in empathy. Autism helps you to solve problems because it means you're highly, highly systematic, you're obsessed with systemetizing and systemetizing helps you to solve problems. All of associations with Autism are things like taking in lots of information. So people who are Autistic tend to be very, very sensitive to noise, very very sensitive to stimuli...whatever, and the plus side of that is that they can take in huge amounts of information and therefore better solve a problem because they have more information at hand.I stopped transcribing once I heard him reference the "cultural mediation hypothesis" - i.e., according to him, "dominant way of thinking" - translated by yours truly as "mob rules" reinforced by illogical, irrational thinking, driven by those who seek high social status and who fall under this paradigm.
Translated: Mid-wits maintain a self-reinforcing delusion manifested by Jim Jones types adept at manipulating the masses (of 'mid-wits'), clearly defined as being disassociated with pursuit of the truth (by the author).
I didn't need to skim a half hour video to confirm what I already knew just to associate with an obscure synonym (mid-wit) for STUPID, i.e., the author's assertion that "intelligence is associated with adopting the dominant ideology."
Wow. /s Methinks dear Dr. is too immersed in his subject matter and should focus on a psychological test to weed out the STUPID to 'stop them' (i.e., "we must fight the mid-wit"...in his words at the end).
The very end clinched the deal for me, as far as the hypothesis he proposed being valid.
I was shocked when I started seeing once highly regarded magazines like Scientific American and others start publishing basically rubbish science which was really socially motivated dogma.] in the early 2000s (example when the genius James Watson was fired for suggesting a connection between race and IQ (Cold Spring Harbor University 2007).
That same trend continued, as most here know, in the COVID pandemic when many science journals within weeks of its outbreak announced it was natural in origin, Without any exhaustive studies or peer reviewed work. Since then many articles have came out showing how Fauci and others manipulated opinion with secret emails etc. Today despite thousands of wild animals being studied and tested a natural reservoir of the virus has not been found. This absolutely shows what junk science they were pushing in 2020-21. Clearly the mid-wits at work and in charge.
After thinking about it in the shower...
...I’d pay handsomely to witness an academic debate between this guy and a panel of academic mid-wits.
;-)
