I quoted terf because I don’t believe she is a terf. She once supported a woman researcher, who was fired for stating that men can’t change into women. JKR then began to be called terf. She doesn’t believe that pretend women should be granted access to women’s private spaces or sports. She opened a rape crisis center just for women, and with real women doctors, nurses and staff. Trans lunatics call her terf, since that is their swear word, along with other libiots.
Re: unfollowable Twitter threads - I completely agree. They are nearly unreadable and resemble scribblings on a bathroom stall. Three quarters of it is meaningless junk. Even worse are the ones that repeat the tweet complete with headers and signatures two or three times. Then add the text of the article that repeats the same thing. It is bad enough that they are using tweets from random people as new sources.
For most of my life, I really didn't care if men liked to play dress up and pretend to be women. Or vice versa, but women trying to be men looks even dumber in my opinion. But to each their own.
But these people now claiming that they can have mentrual periods and get pregnant is a bridge too far for me. I cannot take anybody seriously that spouts that nonsense.
They can never be real women and it's time society started putting these transsexuals back in their places.
Trans activists call lesbians transphobic, who don’t want to date a transgender “lesbian” with a penis.
Don’t you realize that is too logical???
That is reality...These people refuse to live in reality.....
Third time I’ve read this, and I just got it.
Thank you!
Seems Rowling, who came up with the Harry Potter stories, all highly imaginable, when it comes to reality has her head on straight. She is not fanciful with reality.
The comeback is an overused trope on the childish level of “I know you are, but what am I?”. It can be used in about any situation where one disagrees and a cheap “ mic drop” moment...whether the disagreement is valid or not. And yet, the thing she was responding to was so stupid I guess a cheap response was somehow appropriate. However the response was not worthy of the articles hype.
It’s my own fault for clicking on these FR threads in the first place.
I simply must ignore them as I used to ignore CREVO threads.
“What is twitter?”
It is a place where twits congregate.
What two words? Dug through all that and couldn’t find it.
The two words were “Citation Needed”
They’re quite visible. I don’t know why you can’t see them; I can see them in the tiny screen of my phone. She wrote, “Citation needed.” Which was fairly witty.
DITTO
Second line: Citation needed.
I gather that on Twitter, citations are often required to prove the truth of a claim.
What were the two words? “Citation needed”? (These Twitter threads are ridiculous to decipher.)
I certainly have a higher opinion of Rowling than the young actor and actresses who attacked her after her works made them millionaire. Wish Alan Rickman was still kicking to tell em off.
Yep. Did you read the Twitchy article? I find them easier to read than my copies.
Always reminded of this skit in THE LIFE OF BRIAN in which Stan wants to become a woman named Loretta and have babies.
Facebook will not let me post this link.
