Mountain Lions are actually quite common.
In AZ they could be hunted for 9 months/years, in the whole state and the permit is cheap and not subject to lottery.
Yet, very few are taken each year. They think, the cougar population is actually growing.
All because Cougars are supper stealthy! I have never seen one in the wild.
And I have seen bears, bobcats, and many other species in the wild!
I do not even know, how to approach one?
