DENVER — Former Denver Broncos defensive lineman Derek Wolfe posted on his Instagram account Thursday that he had killed a large mountain lion “wreaking havoc” in a rural Colorado neighborhood.
Labeling the kill “predator control,” Wolfe said he stalked and killed the big cat that had already killed two dogs and was living under the porch of a resident in the undisclosed neighborhood.

“Just what I need on the wall of my den.”

Don’t we all? My husband would sell assets, dig in the couch cushions for change, and mortgage our paid-for house to have that sucker mounted. I’d readily agree! LOL!
Way to go!! Born and raised in CO. Been stalked by cats several times while hunting elk and deer. Ain’t no joke. Born killers.
Yes, let;s rewild Central Park in NYC and the Fenway in Boston.
That neighborhood watch has serious game.
Did you read the first line of the excerpt?
“Not really for sport. It was heading into neighborhood areas and killing dogs.”
That big ol’ cat was feeding, not killing. Easy pickings too.
I didn’t think he was killing them a posing them Black Dahlia style…
There was one up by Logan, Iowa that had dug a den under an abandoned car on a farm.
Oh how sad. They make such small children’s pet and neighborhood neighbors. So cuddly, and they were here first..
Big one for sure. Shame it couldn’t be tranquilized and shipped off to deep country.
It would be back in another month, or another big cat would be dead.
Mountain lion territories don't come for free.
What a shame.
For what it’s worth, Wolfe was a dirty NFL player and wouldn’t have been successful otherwise.
Honestly - no. Not this time. It was a ‘drive-by’ reading for me. cheers!
Yeah - understand. I hunt and kill things. Just would prefer to have the beast relocated a hundred miles away. It was doing what it was created to do.
I won’t wrangle about it. Just my opinion. Hell, we could kill off every amazing predator on the planet in months if tasked. They are beautiful animals. cheers.
I understand. I don’t even hunt, I go to the grocery store...
:)
See post 35. cheers
These days, finding a good rib-eye for a fair price can be consider a successful hunt...
LOL, true.
See post 35. Cheers FRiend
