I love a great deal of Joni’s music, but for most people it’s an acquired taste. Some folks never like her style of singing, songwriting or storytelling.
But I’m not going to call another Freeper ugly names or verbally throw rocks at them just because they enjoy different styles of music.
You could say “I’ve listened to music from both sides now”
One reason I admire Joni is because in the 70s, she went to Israel and was even photographed wearing an Israeli military uniform. Of course she took a lot of heat for it, but she didn’t care. Yeah, she’s a big time lib and all, but I got mad respect for her for that.
The OP made a factually inaccurate statement that Joni was a “one hit wonder”.
That is not a “taste” matter.
That is utter insane stupidity and an inability to grasp basic historic reality of the highest level.
