It is often said that the Cabinet serves at the pleasure of the President.
I believe it is also true that the President serves at the pleasure of the Deep State.
It always bothered me that when they revealed the identity of “deep throat” we found out that the guy who was basically pulling the strings on those two reporters was actually a top guy at the FBI. And given that his boss was Herbert frickin’ Hoover, don’t try to tell me he was somehow offended about abuse by Nixon. No way, it was a takedown, plain and simple. To this day I felt like I was the only one who thought ‘this guy didn’t act alone, the FBI took down Nixon and they probably had other help in government. Why isn’t this major news?’. Glad to see it getting some attention as a thought provoker.

Nixon only lost one state. He was very important. America did not want to be at war. America did not want Johnson. Nixon was the first real republican in a long while. And republicans meant people who had morals. That is why they could attack him by showing he was a crook. When you elect Mr. Clean all you need to do is to show a little dirt and he falls. That is why Trump did so well. Nobody expected he was clean. So he could weather any dirt.

If the CIA orchestrated the Watergate “scandal”, the Left made the outrage and opposition to order to carry out the coup.
I think the last six years has opened a window on Watergate that we should be looking through.
