It’s nice to hear someone on tv voice an opinion similar to mine when it comes to Nixon.
That being said : Nixon was a bit too liberal for my tastes , so I wasn’t exactly a huge fan of the guy anyways.

I never made a connection to Nixon, but it certainly could have happened that way.
I was slightly to the left of VP Nixon and very to the right of Pres Nixon
A Coast Guard cook I used to know was stationed at Coast Guard Station San Clemente just down the street from Nixon’s compound. Nixon would walk the beach & sometimes stop in for a cup of coffee, from what my friend told me said Nixon was a very personable guy and he was good at general conversation with the crew and everybody looked forward to the days when he would stop in and chat.
