Santa Fe district attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies and special prosecutor Andrea Reeb said Thursday on FNC’s “The Five” that Alec Baldwin definitely pulled the trigger of the gun that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins while discussing the involuntary manslaughter charge against the actor.
Armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed has also been charged with involuntary manslaughter.
Baldwin said in a December 2021 ABC News interview, “I didn’t pull the trigger.”
Anchor George Stephanopoulos said, “So you never pulled the trigger?”
Baldwin said, “No, no, no I would never point a gun at someone and pull the trigger at them, never.”
Reeb said, “We defiantly believe he pulled the trigger. The FBI lab report confirms that. So, definitely, the trigger was pulled.”
Co-host Jeanine Pirro asked, “Alright, so his statement is not correct under any circumstance?”
Reeb said, “We don’t believe it is.”
Carmack-Altwies said, “Mr. Baldwin had a duty at the base level to never hold a gun and point it at a person while pulling the trigger. But he also had a duty as an actor and a producer on that set to have the bullets checked, or to check them himself to make sure they weren’t live.”
Reeb said, “This was a loose and reckless set where safety was compromised just to save money.”

Guns don’t kill people. Alec Baldwin kills people.
Baldwin is a liar and a murderer.
If it were you or I, we would already be in prison serving a 10 year sentence. Leftist democrat soldiers are always treated nicer by the criminal government.
Alec lied, people died!
Involuntary manslaughter with a firearm has a mandatory 5 year jail sentence in New Mexico if he’s found guilty by a jury.
Finally someone explains it
I thought the same but I think his thumb might have slipped off the hammer. Either way, he pulled the trigger.
Hollywood would do well to spend the money and get the NRA to train armorers and assist on set.
A blank looks like this:

They have pinched off top like a shotgun shell.
Yep. I read early on that that Alec wouldn't attend a briefing on handling a weapon on set.
The general public doesn't understand how a movie set works, especially when firearms are being used. The armorer and his/her team are completely in control of all weapons. An actor should never check a gun, chamber a round, etc., UNLESS it's called for in the script. If an actor mishandles a firearm in any way, the Director or armorer can call cut and the armorer would then collect the firearm, recheck it, and then hand it back so the scene can be filmed again.
The really big question, in this case, is how did a live round get not only on the set, but in the gun? That's a HUGE no no. Hollywood movies feature firearms all the time, and there's a reason why accidents are so very rare.
Baldwin may be held responsible for squeezing the trigger, especially if the scene didn't call for him to do so. Another big worry he has is his role as Executive Producer. He had skin (money) in this movie. If he cut any corners, and it can be proven, he'll be in real trouble.
FINALLY!...the leftist gun grabbers have found a gun that acted on its own!!..../s
My understanding is that they weren’t even shooting a scene, just a discussion of how the scene should play out (don’t really know, I wasn’t there).
I read that Baldwin was a little irritated with the time everything was taking and being the smartass that he is, pulled the gun out of the holster, aimed at the director and shot her.
Guess we won’t know until all the Hollyweird Weirdos have had their chance to LIE to the prosecutor.
But if it did happen as I read, that would make it NEGLIGENT HOMICIDE wich carries a greater penalty under law.
That should have been WHICH, can’t depend on spellcheck!
