Prosecutors: Alec Baldwin ‘Definitely’ Pulled the Trigger’ — He Lied in a December 2021 Interview
Breitbart ^ | 19 Jan 2023 | PAM KEY

Santa Fe district attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies and special prosecutor Andrea Reeb said Thursday on FNC’s “The Five” that Alec Baldwin definitely pulled the trigger of the gun that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins while discussing the involuntary manslaughter charge against the actor.

Armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed has also been charged with involuntary manslaughter.

Baldwin said in a December 2021 ABC News interview, “I didn’t pull the trigger.”

Anchor George Stephanopoulos said, “So you never pulled the trigger?”

Baldwin said, “No, no, no I would never point a gun at someone and pull the trigger at them, never.”

Reeb said, “We defiantly believe he pulled the trigger. The FBI lab report confirms that. So, definitely, the trigger was pulled.”

Co-host Jeanine Pirro asked, “Alright, so his statement is not correct under any circumstance?”

Reeb said, “We don’t believe it is.”

Carmack-Altwies said, “Mr. Baldwin had a duty at the base level to never hold a gun and point it at a person while pulling the trigger. But he also had a duty as an actor and a producer on that set to have the bullets checked, or to check them himself to make sure they weren’t live.”

Reeb said, “This was a loose and reckless set where safety was compromised just to save money.”

A member of the Hollywood elite lied to a mere detective? Oh, honestly.

He pulled the trigger before he cocked the gun. When he cocked the hammer he thought it would be held by the sear. Let go of the hammer and the gun fires.

Back in the day, pistoleros would modify Colt SAA’s by tying back the trigger and reshaping the hammer to speed firing this way. It was called a slip hammer gun. Judge Martin, a friend of Elmer Keith did this.

Between Baldwin & the FBI it’s a tossup who is more likely to be lying.

If single action, didn’t he have to cock the hammer?

Yeah, he’s guilty. He held the weapon, aimed and fired and killed the woman. His responsibility. But who and why loaded the weapon on a movie set??

So many on here thought he would get off scot free. And in California, where Hollywood $ is king, he would. God bless New Mexico, where no man is above the law.

My grandfather was an avid hunter and he taught my mother basic gun safety rules such as 1) the gun is always loaded and 2) never point a gun at something or someone you don’t intend to shoot. If a small child can understand that a gun is not a toy but a weapon to be handled with care then a grown man can and should be held responsible for his criminal negligence.

” But who and why loaded the weapon on a movie set??”

For whatever reasons, the crew apparently used the “prop” gun for fun using live ammo. Who knew about that and didn’t ban it?

It was not a “prop gun” it was a real gun that was being used because a authentic looking replica would have been too expensive according to the guy who was bankrolling this cinematic masterpiece.

Now who was that again?

The name is right there, just ready to go off.

Arec Barwin [F.A.G.] could have been the one who brought live ammo for the gun to the Set/Location.

I’ve never seen any info/discussion on that issue.

It’s not the charge I would have wanted, but if the judge is an honest man he’ll draw the maximum sentence. As will that idiot armorer.

If no accountability somewhere, then would be a means to actually set up and carry out an undercover murder.
Colombo type episode.

I disagree.

The armorer was not involved.

Your final question is why more than just Alex is guilty here.

Some of the “news” reports published almost seemed like they must have let Alex do the editing, they were kind of screwy; “Baldwin was holding the gun that went off” or some similar weasel wording, as if he were merely a spectator.

ABC and former Clinton White House lapdog, George “Stephy” Stephanopoulos tried to convince the public that Baldwin was in no way to blame. Disgraceful.

"Even now I find it hard to believe...it just doesn’t seem real to me."

Alec Baldwin.

George Stephanopoulos.

The first interview since the fatal accident on the "Rust" set.

I saw one interview where Baldwin said he pulled the hammer back, but did not release it.

I assume the only evidence is a hammer dent on the shell casing.

The most important questions are still unanswered.

Who brought real bullets to a film set, and who loaded the gun?
