“I still advice “decline to state”
Good post—that is the practical advice that I appreciate here.
My backup plan was to pretend I had dementia and could not understand the question.
“Status. What is status. You mean state? I live in CT.”
“Vaccination. Yeah I got my measles done when I was a kid. Seems like just yesterday.”
“Covid. What is that? Is it like a cold?”

One should recall Zuckerberg early on in the Facebook beginnings mocking his own users with “can you believe they just gave us their data?” Doesn’t have to be that way. Caveat emptor. If Fauci and Mrs. Clinton can allege they can’t “recall,” then there’s the precedent, should one want to play the irony card with precedence to cite.
