There was a story recently about another woman who made this mistake - Camilla, on her wedding day to then Prince Charles.

I think many women with extensive shoe collections could do this. I would, however, have noticed the difference between the way those two shoes of Chelsea’s felt on my feet...

In the old days, and still, men who wore sits would have both a Navy and a Navy with pinstripes. I've seen people wear the plain pants and pinstripe jacket. Those are the people that didn't hang both on a hanger together I guess.

I did that once. Headed out early a.m. for a road trip with my sister. I got dressed in the dark, and wondered why one of my shoes felt a little tight, but just figured that foot might be a little swollen. Didn’t notice it til we stopped at a rest stop about 100 miles from home. When I “sat down”, I looked down and started laughing. Had my sister stop at the first place that was open, Wal-Mart, and had her go in and get a pair of slip on sneakers for me. (I hadn’t packed extra shoes; just wore what I thought were a pair of all purpose flats.)
