Baldwin gripped the pistol with his finger already pressing the trigger. When he pulled back the hammer, since the trigger was already pulled, the gun went off when he released the hammer, sort of fanner style

That’s the sort of gross negligence born out of gross ignorance.

So he is going to argue that they gave him a cocked
revolver ? Did he cock it? then he put it in a position
to fire .

My thinking: There were six bullets in that revolver. Was one of them a live round? Were all of them live rounds? If it was just one of them, how would it be that the live round would be in position to go off when the trigger was pulled? Someone has to position it so it would fire when the trigger was pulled. Someone wanted it to go off and make it look like an accident. Someone wanted Halyna Hutchins killed to keep her quiet from revealing an affair that would destroy a marriage.
