On the contrary, instead of being a distraction it creates new avenues and new rationale for expedited and aggressive Congressional investigation. Even if the documents have nothing to do with anything corruption related, the appearances are enough.
Now we hear Hunter was reportedly paying $50k a month in rent to his father. Possible way of funneling cash to the intended recipient while creating a real flimsy paper trail of plausible deniability.
