The number of representatives is determined by the census, and that counts the number or residents, NOT the number of legal citizens.

So,she is right that “those are the people I represent”.

We really need to change how we determine the makeup of the house

Yeah.

I know. I forgot to say “All three of them”.

If illegals were excluded from apportionment a bunch of states would suddenly lose about 20% of their House seats.

Which is the way it’s supposed to work.
