Central Nervous System Demyelination Following COVID-19 mRNA-Based Vaccination: Two Case Reports and Literature Review

Abstract
As the world embarks on mass vaccination against SARS-CoV2 to alleviate the spread of this highly contagious novel coronavirus, there are growing anecdotal reports on immune-related neurological complications following immunisation. Similarly, we encountered 2 cases of central nervous system demyelination at our centre with Comirnaty (BNT162b2), a mRNA-based COVID-19 vaccine. Our first patient had typical clinical-radiological manifestations of acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM) after his COVID-19 vaccination. This was the sixth reported case to date. Our second patient presented with an unusual complaint of trigeminal neuralgia, with an identifiable demyelinating lesion observed in the pons on neuroimaging. Both cases responded well to immunotherapy. However, larger prospective controlled studies and formal registries are much needed to ascertain a possible relationship between COVID-19 vaccines and acute central nervous system demyelination.

Assessment of Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss After COVID-19 Vaccination
I have suffered a 30% hearing loss since I had the 2 jabs in 2020 and 2021. Didn’t discover it until recently, though. Just been saying “HUH???” a lot. Recent hearing test by our hearing aid guy showed that loss. Can’t say when the loss occurred, so can’t say if the jab did it, but I do now wonder. Have also been experiencing some other hearing deficits which are REALLY strange.
Thank you for the post, grey_whiskers. It clothes the supposition of hearing loss in a possible how-they-did-that scenario, if the jabs are the cause.

Without hearing aids I’m at -50dB low freqs, -60 to -70 middle freqs, and -80 to -90 high freqs.
With hearing aids it’s at -45dB across all freqs.
I can’t afford to lose any more, so in retrospect, I’m glad I didn’t take those shots.

Yikes! That makes two of us. Last two weeks my hearing has been fading in and out. I ordered a pair of fairly cheap over the ear hearing aids. I knew there was wax in the left ear; it is a chronic problem - which I cleared. Then I discovered fading loss in my right ear (no wax). I also got the first two jabs early on.
Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss SNHL involves the hair cells and is often accompanied by tinnitus, usually progressive with age, although can be associated with exposure to loud noises.
Genetic mutation can cause damage to the hair cells. Total loss of hearing is associated with destruction of the hair cells (Rush Limbaugh) and is considered an auto-immune reaction. Both of these pathologies could be related to the mRNA range of action. More and more the mRNA 'vaccines' are being recognized as attacking natural and acquired immunities. I know that I lost my immunity to herpes zoster virus (chicken pox / shingles.)
One notable symptom of SNHL is difficulty understanding speech, especially on the telephone and/or in noisy backgrounds.
I have struggled with that lately but the fading in and out is not characteristic of SNHL. I wonder if mine is auditory neuropathy, intermittent failure of the auditory nerve to conduct sound patterns to the brain. The outer hair cells function normally but subtle sounds are garbled and poorly transmitted to the brain.
The last few days the fading problem has stopped.
After the second Pfizer jab I regretted the shots and declined any boosters. Now I wonder what other slowly emerging physical liabilities I might affect. Thus my effort to archive possible corrective treatments in FR's COVID-19 Vaccine Injury - Treatments to Counter mRNA Spike Protein Damage thread. 🌞😌
