Soccer Moms are giving way to Single Woke Females – the new “SWFs” – as one of the most potent voting blocs in American politics.
Unmarried women without children have been moving toward the Democratic Party for several years, but the 2022 midterms may have been their electoral coming-out party as they proved the chief break on the predicted Republican wave. While married men and women as well as unmarried men broke for the GOP, CNN exit polls found that 68% of unmarried women voted for Democrats.
The Supreme Court’s August decision overturning Roe v. Wade was certainly a special factor in the midterms, but longer-term trends show that single, childless women are joining African Americans as the Democrats’ most reliable supporters.
Their power is growing thanks to the demographic winds. The number of never married women has grown from about 20% in 1950 to over 30% in 2022, while the percentage of married women has declined from almost 70% in 1950 to under 50% today. Overall, the percentage of married households with children has declined from 37% in 1976 to 21% today.
The Single Wave A new Institute for Family Studies analysis of 2020 Census data found that one in six women do not have children by the time they reach the end of their childbearing years, up from one in ten in 1990. Single adult women now total some 42 million, comparable to the key African American voting bloc (46 million), while vastly larger than key groups like labor union members (14 million) or college students (20 million).
The Pew Research Center notes that since 1960, single-person households in the United States have grown from 13% to 27% (2019). Many, particularly women, are not all that keen on finding a partner.

Affluent White Females Liberals AKA AWFLs - AWFULS.
Traditionally, women voters have supported big government with an eye on the idea that "I am not able to support myself, I need help from above".
But single people with no children should manage to support themselves pretty decently, I think. And as the Powers That Be sell political favors to other groups that "need help", the single woke females may realize that they are increasingly paying for the help that is given to people other than themselves. That might sink into their brain by age 40 or so.
I seem to remember that unmarried women especially once they reach their 40s or ranked among the most unhappy groups.
Since heterosexual married families which are U.S. citizens are now in the minority, when can we expect to see special legal status for this underserved and vulnerable community ?
Single women have voted against their interests. Now White single men are becoming “genderless” and claiming to be females and replacing the single women as the most important species pushing single women to the back of the bus.
All will change when these young women are drafted into the military. Wait till they start to get shot at! Even the best propaganda will not stop their rush for marriage and motherhood. Life has been too good for Americans. BUT History has a way of changing things.

believe me, I know several. What I’m amazed at is why don’t single men vote just as heavily Republican? The Democrat party clearly hates men - especially White men but any man who isn’t some limpwristed pantywaist really. How can you not vote against a party like that?
They ain’t single - they’re married to “Big Daddy” Government.
It’s a real tragedy to see how the cell phone has become an addiction to single, white females. So many get their world views exclusively from Facebook, Instagram, and the prior incarnation of Twitter.
Our federal masters are quite aware of this phenomenon.
They’ll eventually turn into single, old Democrats with only their dogs to take care of them.

Men will soon have a implantable uterus and begin doing the job women used to do, Bipolar women will go the way of the loon, a very apt description of their mental and emotional instability, and life will go on while men will once again prove that women just aren’t up to the task of ruling the world and finally “A man needs a woman like a fish needs a pickup” will become the newest tee shirt.
