I doubt this. What has likely happened is the same thing with Obama’s books. The vested interest fronted Harry all the money on presumed sales and the real sales are being used to pay back the front mkney. I don’t believe for a second that 1.43 million people bought this book.
Obama was understandable as they were grooming him for the POTUS run, and it’s a nice way to launder campaign money. I’m not sure what the incentive is for this guy?
You’re probably right. They inflate the sales, which drives the press and public curiosity, which drives actual sales.
Even then, vendors must mark down steeply. In six months they’ll fill up the Dollar Tree bins.
And nobody will remember a single word of it.
That’s what I think too. They count store orders as sales but the books sit on shelves and never sell.
