I’ve seen it over and over too many times...even within our own families.
It takes the “masks” off individuals and one gets to see what they’re really like under that layer of facade.
First, they fight and contest the will until there’s a “winner”.
Then, those that manage to “win”, blow it all in a matter of a few months/years.
It causes strife/hate and splits the family forever.
Nope....spending every dime of it we can. What little might be left, will go to a charity.
I have to agree with Marie on this one.
Leave them enough to do something but not so much to do nothing.
I agree. I worked my ass off for everything I have. Told my two sons long ago and reinforced it over the years that they'll have to do the same.
I'm spending their "inheritance" ... every single last penny.
There are enough hardships in the world without parents trying to make things harder for their daughters and sons.
