This is the result of political arrogance....by the Democrats, Fauci and by Trump also.

The vaccines were good for the elderly and those with comorbidities against the original strain.

The vaccines are not good for healthy people, especially the young and athletic who have a near zero risk of dying from Covid....which we all knew.

We saw this from the beginning.

The biggest LIE was that the vaccines would stop the spread of Covid followed by the lie that masking (other than N95) and social distancing work to slow the spread.

The vaccines were effective against the first strain (for the elderly) and kept becoming less and less effective as the virus mutated.

Trump isn't responsible here.

As president, he got briefed by his advisory team that COVID was a genuine medical issue for the country. He did what he thought best.

How could any president expect that his science advisors, the CDC, and other health-related institutions would lie about something so important to Americans of all political affiliations? And the same thing was going on around the world...and that even confirmed the presumed accuracy of the original reports.

Sorry, but if Hillary was POTUS, you would be the loudest voice saying that she knew and went along with it.

Your excuse for Trump was that he was stupid. Not a good excuse.

He kept Fauci there and he still supports the vaccines today despite all we know.

So spare us the political spin to protect Trump. I like him, but he effed this up because of political arrogance, just as I originally posted. It is what led the Dems to be lockdown/masking monsters....political arrogance.

It wasn’t political arrogance on Pres Trump’s part. It was lack of accurate information with which he would have needed in order to make informed decisions. He’s not a doctor or a scientist. It also wasn’t political arrogance on the part of the Democrats. It was ruthlessness, greed and pure evil.

You are almost there and I know it's hard to let go. The vaccines were good for no one.

The vaccines were the result of taking advantage of the political climate and to do a massive cash grab under an EUA where any claim could not be challenged legally or politically and any outrageous health claim could be made about them. They could have stated the vaccines cure cancer, made you lose weight and be more attractive and no one could sue.

Exactly correct. Moreover, Trump did have advisors in the WH telling him to go in another direction. But Trump decided to throw in with Fauci, Birx, et al., to the exclusion of those who were giving him sound advice. Why? Because Trump, narcissistic @ss that he was/is, wanted to be seen as the savior in the midst of the situation -- i.e., pushing his moronic "Operation Warp Speed" -- thereby playing right into the hands of those who, to put it mildly, do not (and never did) have the best interests of the American people at heart.

In this matter, Trump was (and, as far as I can tell, still is) an arrogant fool.

We’re you aware of the threat Derp State posed before 2019?

And Trump NEVER ordered a mandate.

For certain elderly, especially those in a residential care setting, a CoupFlu vaxx might make sense.

Ultimately it should have been left to individuals once provided with informed consent.

But that’s not what Deep State did.

As for Trump, he’s not God.

He’s human. He’s fallible.

Just like the rest of it.

But you know what I love best about the guy?

He learns from his mistakes.

Why do you think he scares the **** out of Deep State?

Trump has my faith and my vote.

The man has earned them.

Oh, please. The excuses you deranged Trump worshippers pull out of your @asses to defend that clown are ridiculous.

Listen up, bub. The only person who is ever "fully in charge" of anything undertaken by the Executive Branch in this country is the President. Period. Full effing stop.

Anyone who doesn't understand that ironclad truth has no business voting in the first place.

President Trump streamlined the approval process and supported development of a vaccine against COVID. It is not political arrogance. He never called for the vaccines to be mandated and instead said the direct opposite: That people should be free to choose if they want to use it.

It was your friend Joe Biden that mandated the vaccine. He promised that he had a plan to stop COVID during the campaign and, despite the superhuman efforts of President Trump, Joe Biden declared President Trump did not have a plan.

When Joe took over and COVID deaths were tracking just as high in the early months of his administration HE ARROGANTLY mandated the vaccines.

The reality is the vaccines were barely made available during President Trump's administration. The first doses came out in the final 3 weeks (or there about) of his Term.

As far a Fauci is concerned he was considered the top infectious disease specialist at the NIH. Who else would the president turn to? Once he found out what a disaster he was he tried to push him aside with the guy from Stanford. But the press trashed that top doctor as a quack.
