Miss Russia 2022 Anna Linnikova has become one of 16 contestants who will vie for the title of Miss Universe.
The semifinals of the pageant were broadcast on the YouTube channel of the Miss Universe Organization. Linnikova, 22, wore the national "The Crown of the Russian Empire" dress during the preliminary competition on Wednesday where 84 contenders were taking part. The red and white gown decorated with pearls and precious stones was designed by a St. Petersburg couturier in cooperation with the State Hermitage museum.
The finals of the beauty pageant in which the top beauties will be picked from among the 16 delegates will be held late on Saturday (early on Sunday, Moscow time).

So that’s how the war got started.
There are many pics of her up. She is a very pretty lady as are many ladies from that part of the world.
Given she’s a rooskie, the dry ice blasting technique may work.
**Pretty girl, but the heavy makeup slightly intersects the drag queen set.**
You can go to any walmart and see about half the 18-35 yr old women wearing that much warpaint.
My wife and I know young women that wear ‘the artificial face’, and have seen how they often behave differently in public when painted. More sure of themselves it seems.
Glad my wife quit the stuff 39 yrs ago.
re: beauty pageants... I would like to see a ‘Jeans and a t-shirt’ competition, with extra credit for a baseball cap.
“The Crown of the Russian Empire”
Hmm. That would acknowledge that Russia considers itself an empire.
Noted.
At least you know she’s a real woman.
“Pretty girl, but the heavy makeup slightly intersects the drag queen set.”
I agree. I bet she’s even more beautiful without all that clown makeup on.
And I’m confident its not a tranny either.
VERY similar to what my 65 yr old wife looked like at that age, except my wife’s hair was/is longer (about 3’ long nowadays. And no lipstick)
Some of the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen were sans make-up and clad only in a T-shirt and jeans.
agree with all but your last two words “and jeans”
+++
I don’t watch TV anymore except on very rare occasions of which beauty pageants are not included.
I’m all good with looking at beautiful women in beautiful dresses and swimsuits but listening to most of their responses to the judges questions makes my head hurt, my body cringe, and for some strange reason, causes me to feel an overwhelming sense of embarrassment for them.
“Everything was going so well for ‘Miss (name of parade/county fair/city/county/state/country)’ and I was sure she would win the crown, but then she opened her mouth and spoke. Now she works the Drive-thu window at the local Dairy Queen where the only thing she is required to say is: ‘Welcome to Dairy Queen. May I take your order?’”
> I bet she’s even more beautiful without all that clown makeup on.
I’m certain of that.
I agree with you.
I would sanction her....... 🤣
The Gown is accurate for 1954, as is Linnikova's accurate for the Romanov era as represented and is The Crown of the Russian Empire Gown.
The lipstick color matches the Gown's color, standard procedure for red gowns in pageants.
The Jewels are representative of Russia and they are real.
Meanwhile, American soldiers are treated to drag queen competitions on US military bases.
Good to see Ms. Universe is above petty politics when it comes to their competition.
