John Kass, formerly a columnist with the Chicago Tribune, wrote this column for his website on the 10th. I can't find any news as to how he is doing after his open-heart surgery. Kass was pretty much kicked off the Chicago Tribune newspaper for being a conservative several years ago. His columns are always insightful and on point and he never pulls any punches. He is well-read and a critical thinker and I've always enjoyed his columns.

Is there anyone in the Chicago area who has heard how he is doing or how the surgery went?

I haven’t heard this before. Sorry to learn. He is truly one of the very, very good ones! Godspeed return to good health for a great all around guy, proud Greek and damn good cook.

Prayers up for Kass. He is one of the good guys. I knew from his FB page that he was going for shoulder surgery, but I didn’t know about the heart surgery. He is a frequent guest and substitute host on some radio shows I listen to. I’ll check in the morning to see if they say anything.
