Byron Donalds' wife taunts Joy Reid after viral interview: 'He kept making her look foolish'

The wife of Florida Rep. Byron Donalds went after Joy Reid following "The ReidOut" host's heated interview with the Republican on Tuesday.

Erika Donalds said the MSNBC host interrupted her husband because his arguments were factual and made her "look foolish."

"Joy Reid wouldn’t allow my husband speak because he kept making her look foolish! He brought facts and receipts, while all she had were empty Democrat talking points.

Leading up to his appearance on the show, Reid repeatedly attacked Donalds, accusing him of being a prop for the GOP, supporting "voter suppression" efforts, and said his nomination for speakership was a "troll move."

While on the show Reid, doubled down on her racial attacks and asked if his nomination was a "diversity statement" in response to the more diverse Democratic Party.

But Donalds rejected Reid's assertion and said his race did not come up in conversations with members who supported him.

The pair also dueled over Critical Race Theory in schools, Social Security insolvency, the 2020 election and his voting record.

I heard the interview between Rep. Byron Donalds and Joy Reid on the radio. It was the most ill-mannered interview I have ever heard. Reid wouldn’t let him answer a question. While Donalds was talking she would interrupt and throw out new characterizations. She had false talking points and by speaking them, she thought the audience would swallow them no matter what Donalds would say to correct them.

Joy Reid should be dropped from “The View.”

In my experience, most African immigrants to the US aren’t like Black American Leftists at all.

That’s one of the great ironies of the fetishization of African heritage by leftist American black activists. If they were dropped in Africa, the locals would find them to be as strange and foreign as the whitest of white Europeans. They have nothing, other than complexion, in common with them.

Also, the “systemic racism” lie is demolished by the fact that recent African immigrants to the U.S. are far more successful and prosperous, while far less likely to be involved in crime, than are native “African-Americans.” So what happened? Did the “evil racists” that the left believes lurk behind every tree, somehow forget to discriminate against African immigrants? Even more puzzling is the fact that many immigrants have darker skin than most native blacks, while also exhibiting accents since English is usually not their first language. Those two additional factors should cause the “racist system” to discriminate doubly hard against these folks, yet it obviously doesn’t. Hmm…

Joy Reid’s parents were from Africa. They attended the U of Iowa together and stayed in the USA after graduation. I suspect they never accepted American culture and passed their negative attitude to Joy.

From what I understand, African immigrants tend to have a pretty low opinion of black Americans, seeing them as spoiled whiny children. I wouldn't be surprised if Reid's parents disapproved of her attitude.

Joy Reid has found that there is money to be made by being an American black leftist.

Note that her parents were both relatively recent immigrants, so all of the histrionics of Reid complaining about "1619", CRT, voting rights, what have you, is nothing more than an act.

If not an act, then a total slap in the face to this country. If more people knew about the immigrant background of Reid, they would be even more outraged that this immigrant person is spouting this anti-American bullcrap on American TV.

It's just that she doesn't speak with a discernible accent that she is allowed to hoodwink so many into believing she somehow is "descendants of slaves" or some such.
