82 and 86 were especially wet and stormy in Cal. By Jan, donner had 200 inches of snow on ground already. The spring floods were something.

Lived here all my life. Never really studied the weather. I remember very wet years and very dry years, cold (relatively) years and warm years. Mud slides and wildfires. Had snow in the San Fernando valley a few times which is pretty rare. A year like this is a boom for Mammoth. And also makes Mt. Baldy pretty to look at.
