Lived here all my life. Never really studied the weather. I remember very wet years and very dry years, cold (relatively) years and warm years. Mud slides and wildfires. Had snow in the San Fernando valley a few times which is pretty rare. A year like this is a boom for Mammoth. And also makes Mt. Baldy pretty to look at.
I was up at Tuckee in winter of 82. Saw the snow first hand, it was awesome.
My impression of California is that the weather is perfect, until it’s deadly.
