True, and so very sad. World’s best oysters! I love the town, too.
Atlanta has had water problems for decades, yet still keeps growing and growing. It sucks up all the water and ruined Apalachicola Bay. Florida sued Georgia over it some years ago, but I don’t know what happened so far with the case.
Anyway, it’s crazy. We have all those abandoned towns and cities up North and in the Rust Belt with plentiful water, people moving to the Sun Belt, from Blue States to Red States — and tuning them blue. (And talk about destruction of wealth — all those homes, businesses, infrastructure now rotting away.) Where are they going to go after they ruin the Red States?
Atlanta is a monstrosity. All the disadvantages of a big city, none of the advantages. Too big for its water sources. And no one but no one is *from* Atlanta. Grew way too fast. Can you tell I hate Atlanta?
“Florida sued Georgia over it some years ago, but I don’t know what happened so far with the case.....”
SCOTUS DISMISSED IT.
