Terrible idea as it would be hi-jacked sure as day, and an army of Leftist Lawyers would legalize their way into re-writing the US Constitution.
It would unleash a storm of woke. People are acting like only conservatives would get to participate.
We would wind up with some nightmare like the Texas Constitution, 86936 words and 517 amendments (literally)
The US Constitution has 4543 words and 27 amendments.
The problem is the sick and heathen culture. A constitutional convention as an end run around it cannot work.

Everyone on FR that is not a fed plant (or China) should join the COS movement.
Article IV, Section 3:
“....The Congress shall have the power dispose of...property belonging to the United States...”
Congress has legislated the disposal of future income tax revenue not yet federal property to pay for handouts. That is not authorized.
Someone has said that Texas can split itself into five states and those can have ten mainly conservative senators in total.

We are too far down the slippery slope of “progressive” government and the electorate and too many states are now addicted to handouts.
been for it for many years since i read Mark’s book. one of the few things political i agree with him on. you should at least have read his book before you comment on this one.
How many times has the convention among the states been invoked, using Article 5 to change the Constitution?
We haven’t done it.(States have met many times in our national history, just not under the convention of states clause)
Why not start with “baby steps?” and Amend the Constitution the way it has been done 27 times.

We need to take the power back from the ruling class.
Three justices — Sotomayor, Kagan, and Jackson — and maybe the Chief Justice — will vote to rule any amendment the Article V Convention adopts unconstitutional.

You can point a conservative towards the Constitution, but you can't make them actually read Article V.

The US Constitution is just fine as it is! IMHO, it is the finest piece of work produced by man, after the Bible and the Declaration of Independence!
It just needs to be heeded by EVERY American!
To have an orderly honest convention one must have honest elections of those going to convention. Risk is too great and is known elections in US are not honest. The media and leftists would have a great time writing all the amendments and voting. Conservatives need not appt. Too risky
