it’s all about winning, and this is one more point for president trump.

You are not winning when you are scoring points for the other team.

McCarthy thinks he, himself was responsible for the slim Republican majority in the House. He’ll take credit for anything he can.

**************

McCarthy is the “money man” from California that’s why he got the Speaker position.

Trump is an opportunist who takes credit for anything that appears good and runs from any culpability for anything that appears bad.

Please retire and not run in 2024.

I hope you're wearing Nomex clothing...lol.

There are no "leaders" in our government anymore, not by the definition of "leader" that I was taught in the Army: a leader is responsible for everything his unit does, or FAILS TO DO, and it is his responsibility alone.

I wanted Scalise. He didn’t run..

Why would you want to elevate the most ineffective Whip in modern Republican history to Speaker?

“You are not winning when you are scoring points for the other team.”

Our team is the Republican Party. It’s composed of many nuances. We are not homogenous like they are in the Democrat party. We are diversified. That’s our strength.

Better to have it this way than dividing the party in many smaller parties. Because that would mean Democrats would be winning for ever.

Trump was the only president in modern U.S. history to do something about the violent out of control border, one of THE biggest country killing threats facing the U.S. All of which the globalist directed and produced. You have no clue poser, nor can you spell.

Trump was nominated!

I find mccarthy the old guard and I want all of the corrupt old guard out. I am not pleased with this left half republican. There is not only no fight in the gop... they didn’t want to run for speaker and chance the fight.

This man.. it is reported... it is in print.. has had affairs.. if he can’t be trusted with his family... how can he be trusted in the house of corrupt..

Totally disappointed in this man who wanted it for clout and importance... totally.. disappointed. There is no humility in him.

They can say what they want about Trump... he has it all and does not need more.. he is in this to serve the people and save the nation.. Most men gauge their importance by what they accumulate.. sorry, men.. but in that bracket.. it’s true.

Steve Bannon starts his show with SAVE THE NATION..THIS NATION WILL BE SAVED!!! Mccarthy is saving himself... we’ll see how much he will do for us out here.. it’s a mess!!!!!!!!!!

I guess I am unaware of his “ineffectiveness.”

I am largely aware of his voting record. He almost lost his life for his service as a congressman and came back with a good attitude and continues to serve. That’s a hero to me. If there are negatives to consider I am all ears.

Trump has no need to “seek credit” - McCarthy openly credited him.

"Trump is an oppurtunist who takes credit for anything that appears good..."

The person, Donald Trump, is an opportunist.

The politician, SuperTrump, is a populist.

I don't buy that Trump drove this in any significant sense. If so, it would have been one vote. His orders in all CAPS convinced exactly nobody.

Some supporters in Congress are just getting the un-employed politician into the news.

He is not helping them - they got what they wanted despite him, not because of him.

They are helping him. To appear relevant. And to make you forget he was absolutely no help winning the significant things that were won. And would not have been won if the rebels had listened to compromise-first Trump.

Trump did the same thing with TrumpRyanCare. Except that time the HFC won completely.

Trump IS, by definition, the establishment candidate for president.
