Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene was captured on the House floor late Friday holding up her cell phone with former President Donald Trump on the line.
After the House Republicans' failed 14th vote to elect GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy to the speakership, Greene tried getting Rep. Matt Rosendale to speak with the former president.
'It was the perfect phone call,' Greene tweeted, sharing Bloomberg's photo of the moment, where Trump's initials 'DT' were clearly seen on her iPhone screen.
Rosendale, a Republican from Montana, had yelled out the name of Rep. Andy Biggs during the 14th round of voting.

McCarthy is a RINO that bends to lobbyists. His principles are for sale to the highest bidder.
He will betray Trump at a most critical time.
And I question Trumps judgement in backing him.

When I was about 13 I swam out to a wooden raft float anchored about 100 yards offshore. Climbed out and warmed up in the sun... dreading that swim back in. My hands were numb and arms weren’t quite working right as I hit the beach. I’m glad it wasn’t another 20 yards. God it was cold... locals seems to do better.
It might be DeSantis V Trump the next primary.
DeSantis might get the nod but, would it be a hoot to see him take Trump as VP just so Trump could be the president of the senate.

You need to step into the real world.
That did appear to be the final bottom line. You may have noticed, I've been saying for the last couple of months it would be McCarthy, the only question was going to be whether he ceded power to the holdout conservatives, or to the Democrats, to get the final votes he needed.
Thankfully, he chose correctly. Although just words, I thought McCarthy's acceptance speech, and subsequent interviews, were very good. He even had positive things to say about Gaetz.
If the vote for rules gets passed on Monday, which I believe it will, as they all know that McCarthy will be mortally wounded as the new leader if he can't deliver what he just promised, then this will be a huge win for conservatives, and huge loss for those in favor of big government.
Well done to all. But don't let your guard down.

So you don’t think, like Trump apprently does, that sufficient House rules changes have been agreed to, by McCarthy, to get the Speaker’s vote completed?
Where would the GOP have gone from there otherwise, the majority voting for McCarthy were not going to vote for someone else.
Trump seems to Love being surrounded by Snakes.
Some of us thought all Republicans are on the same team.
One problem is that some do not understand that a team consists of both offense, defense and special teams.
A team consists of both vets and nwebies, first string, second string and bench warmers who serve as practice dummies in the weeks of training.
A team consists of players .... and owners, management, trainers... who are also players.
In politics it is strange that so many on one team want to be spectators and not players and that is why their team loses.

His words carry as much weight as those of a 16 year old boy with a girl in the car at night down by the lake. Just watch.

I read that these consessions had to be voted on, which means they are DOA.
Well, at least now they can get started on getting nothing done.

In the real world, Rep. Matt Rosendale is a very successful 62 year old man. MTG was an annoying woman he would normally send for coffee.
She looks like she is saying, “I called daddy and he wants to talk to you RIGHT NOW!”. I like he was giving her the back of the hand.
Trump Sr. won't accept second fiddle to anyone. He won't even allow anyone close to his equal, like DeSantis, as his own running mate, either
Don Jr. might be a different story. I actually just heard the idea of a DeSantis/Trump Jr. ticket floated the other day as a way to unite the forces.
Trump getting some credit for pushing McCarthy over the finish line.
Ya right.
