“Almost all of them produced in the last twenty-five years”
None of the most underrated films have been made this century. Most films from the classic era are great and most have been forgotten.

Not fit to watch. Give me the older GREAT movies! Captain from Castile, Prince of Foxes, The Pride and the Passion, El Cid, 55 Days at Peking! Fall of the Roman Empire, Khartoum,
ZULU, Zulu Dawn, The Black Rose, The War Lord....and so many other great ones from the past.

I don’t think I have ever seen any of these. And I don’t have any interest in seeing any now.

Idiocracy better be on the list - it is becoming more and more prophetic each day!

Mississippi Masala. I saw a trailer. It’s the girl’s Indian father(from Nigeria) scolding a young Denzel Washington: “You don’t know what racism is.”
It’s something American blacks don’t get. Just ask any Caribbean.
To: Renfrew
Agreed.
As soon as I see last 25 years, as all time, I know it’s benighted.

Didn't see any of them, but I can think of a 1/2-dozen sleepers:
Waking Ned Devine
Grand Canyon
Made in Heaven
The Trouble With Harry
The God’s Must be Crazy
October Sky
Don Juan De Marco
Seen any of 'em?

Still Crazy, 1999 movie about a fictional band from the 70s reuniting for another chance at stardom. Great cast, excellent soundtrack.

Underrated by whom? What is the rating system? Is it the opposite of overrated? People sound dumb when they use it.

Zulu was an awesome movie. Who ever produce that knew battle tactics very well.

I saw many of these and they mostly sucked.
However, “Chef” is absolutely a must see. It follows a man to his life dream and purpose.
“Vanilla Sky” is easily worse than “Meet Joe Black”

TCMC is one of only two that I’ve seen. Most of the others, I’ve never heard of. Not that I’m much of a movie fan, especially anything of late. Hollywood’s idea of entertainment has often diverged from mine.
