AFC Championship game on neutral ground? What does this fix?
What it fixes is not having to bring up and discuss what happened in the canceled game.

It’s stupid. Sorry if I don’t put on my floofy politically-correct, sensitivity hat, but they are doing it in case cincinanti ends up hosting the bills in that game, and playing there again could be traumatic or something.
They’re going to have to play the game again. People are going to have to go back there. It’s inevitable. Too soon?
All that praise they were heaping on Cincinnati for responding so quickly to save Hamlin’s life, but now they want to take a playoff home game away from them as a wonderous reward. heh
The main challenge from not playing that game is that Buffalo and KC were vying for a bye and home field advantage. Also cincinnati could have clinched their division. Without playing that game the outcome is different. This plan addresses the home field challenge but not the bye. I am not sure which is most valuable. The rest week is huge but the home crowd is a big advantage too.
In my opinion they should either bump the superbowl a week or delay the playoff and remove the week off before the superbowl. This only if the divisions and seeding are in dispute. If Cincinnati beats Baltimore this week they win the division regardless. Then, if the top spot is settled despite the missing game, proceed with the original playoff schedule. Otherwise, Cincinnati and Buffalo should replay or finish the cancelled game in a week.
Fixes the "problem" of having a big crowd for the game.
And regardless of what happens, someone will complain that they got screwed because of all of this.
But I don't watch the NFL anymore, so ...
