One would think that the Waffle House higher ups would remember their redneck base and not act like they are appealing to Georgetown sophistos for customers. But HR and limp-waisted policies rule the roost in almost every large business.
Exactly, they are probably hiring with a HR female manager from a liberal state college who grew up with a single Momma and learned her values from media and public schooling. She will seek out what she considers as fine candidates for marketing and management. Which will be other woke, propagandized leftists from other liberal colleges.
Which is how we reach the point you so well described.
(As a side note I think this is why we see a drift towards communism/socialism. It may not be active conspiracy but the self regeneration of leftists from the system the actual communists set up in the 60s when there really was espionage and subversion by agents)
I think WH has to maintain some position that one-third of its business clients are minority types. But it’ll bring up the topic that one day...it’ll be a Latino gal who deflects the chair or defends herself, and then how do you handle the mess?
“One would think that the Waffle House higher ups would remember their redneck base....”
Which I was proudly a member of.
When that “redneck” base disappeared, I pretty much quit the waffle house. It aint safe in there anymore.
And another thing about the waffle house that I used to tell people, you could walk into one, any one anywhere in the country, and spot a table of old guys sitting, talking, and drinking coffee. Walk over too them and ask about the fishing around here and one of them would get around to telling about the local body of water, a dam or reservoir or whatever, and about how some divers got sent in there looking for something, only to come out scared to death of catfish big enough to eat a man. I’ve heard that tale from Florida to Michigan and even on River Monsters on TV.
These days, most businesses appear to be using moonlighting, Capitol Hill politicians to write their rules of engagement (ROEs) for their employees to use against their loving customers.
