McCarthy must see the writing on the wall and for the good of the party throw his support to Jim Jordan who has the ability to pull it together.
And the RINOs ensured that the GOP House will have no say in funding the WEFtist leftist machine for all of 2023. The one true power the house had and the filthy GOP "leadership" gave it all away.
I hate the backstabbing GOP more than the demoncraps at this point.
If debate and disagreement is not being an adult we should have just stayed a part of the crown and avoided the revolution. Our country was founded on debate and disagreement. Now our country thinks debate is childish.

I don’t see how your list changes if McCarthy was voted the speaker. That’s the same list for Republicans over the past few decades, just substitute some names and details in the blanks.
1) he wants to dig down into DoJ, Hunter/Biden, Fauci, etc. as committee chair.
Yes, he knows all the details better than anyone else, but as Speaker he can sit on and guide any committee investigations. He would know whom to trust to chair the committee which would also deflect media/dem (but I repeat myself) criticisms of the R Speaker of the House who will serve as a fresh target for the libs.
2) He worries his firebrand MAGA creds deter his ability to bring non-MAGA Rs together.
One respected pundit estimates there are now as many as 100 old and new R reps who would be willing to challenge establishment Rs. If this is his worry, he'd have more support than predicted

I don't trust Milquetoast McCarthy at all. Haven't for years and it isn't going to change. I created "my list" as what I'd want to see, independent of whoever is voted in Speaker.
Not that it matters, the deck is stacked against us, period. Zero confidence any of it will actually get taken up, forget about done.

There’s no debate. There are a tiny minority who are behaving like children. They are dishonorable. They made deals which were accepted by both sides and the tiny side is showing fraud behavior.
The demonkkraps do this all the time when they don’t have the votes or control. The legislation is already written in case the and when the political planets and stars align and one gets control back in the future. They even had more than 2 dozen EOs written for FJB before Jan 2021 ready to sign. Remember for 6 years the GOP collected money and lied how they were going to overturn bozo-care? Then along came Trump and he said,, send me the bill to sign .... and the GOPe had nothing(!) .... not even drafted!
The system was designed for deadlock. I am happy with a deadlocked givernment for the next two years. The demonkkraps can’t get anything through either from the Senate side. That’s a lot better than what we just witnessed at the end of December from the traitorous Senators.

I can’t think of 1 who would cross over, but in politics, sometimes the unexpected happens. The demokkrap leadership will hold them all together is my bet. It is more likely that RINOs would cross to demonkkraps first. But for your scenario, KM would have to cut some deals with them. If so, the fact he would do that versus cut deals in his own caucus tell you that the rebellious faction is right about not trusting him as the right person for the job.
Deciding what gets investigated, and, by who…is not only “effective”, but, powerful.

The GOPe has taken advantage and double-crossed the conservatives for decades now. They just did it again with the defend homo-marriage bill after the ‘22 election, the 1.7T 400+ page bill. Now GOPe demands everyone in the caucus fall in line b/c “that’s just how its done around here”.
This intraparty dissension is very healthy actually, and the GOPe needs to wake up. KM’s leadership ability is being tested. I would be willing to bet that if he gave some real concessions to the GOP20, the RINOs would stampede away from him and his bid is over. RINOs hate conservatives and comparatively speaking, they really prefer to “work” with the demonkraps.
They didn't need this to look like fools.
