My question to your buddy stands though; he/she seems somehow convinced that anything other than robotic unquestioning support for McCarthy translates into support for Jeffries.
The only way Jeffries becomes speaker would be with the support of RINOs who defect to the other side.
So I don’t get the hysteria when things are just following the way as defined by the Constitution. The only danger to that is people like Crenshaw referring to other Republicans as the enemy rather than the Communists, causing a predictable schism in the party if there isn’t one already.
That was the point Jordan was making in his nomination speech for McCarthy.
