“I watched until next to last episode but became so irritated at the one Candlepower set lightin”
that’s been the trend for several years now for action scenes that require lots of shooting, fighting, complex action, etc. because it’s WAY WAY cheaper to film stuff not happening in the dark than stuff actually happening in the light ...
Walking Dead did that the last few years and it’s one of the big reasons i quit watching ...
She had potential.
I like it when she was forced to get hide by getting shut into a morgue storage unit, and when ‘Thing’ went to let her out she goes “Five more minutes... I was just getting comfortable”
Harrison Ford is soooo old. He looks more like Yoda now.
Even if you accept the political angles in Entertainment, Inflation dictates that people are constantly looking for places to cut. Netflix will continue to get it's fair share of cuts. Shows like 1899 probably are either run by wokesters, or they have friends in high places to throw good money after bad to feed the politically connected campaign money,......Like Westworld and the pervert.
We are watching this right now with the failed FTX CEO that just gave $40 million to Dems.
My 10 yr old was watching the new Matilda series while I was cooking, and I thought “cool, we love watching that movie with the kids”. Finally was able to take a few minutes from preparing New Year’s dinner and went to check it out. My son was not watching it anymore. I asked if it was all done, and he said no, it was just plain stupid. He said the only white characters left were Matilda, the evil principle, and the fat kid that ate the chocolate cake. Even her teacher was changed. He couldn’t understand it, and was quite disappointed. I cancelled after dinner. FUBHO
I gave up when the gay scene with the two guys kissing for extended time.

About Willow, the fact that they are pushing the gay stuff hard and often doesn’t help either.
Willow is like a side character in his own series.
He didn’t even appear in his own show till what felt like an hour into it.
I was warned ahead of time. I watched the Critical Drinker tear it apart on youtube. Gave it a hard pass and I liked Willow the movie.
Not the worst thing I watched on Netflix by any stretch of the imagination. I guess they need to make room for the budgets of the next Hillary and Megan Markle projects.
Was this the offshoot of Yellowstone?
I gave up after the 3rd episode after the in your face gay crap. I was already losing interest, as it seemed to be little more than “LOST” on a cruise ship. Not sorry to see it go.
Yes, I saw the Critical Drinker video only later. I had fond memories of Willow the movie, but this show was just complete trash.
Awhile ago I heard a secret recording that was amongst the entertainment big wigs saying "From now on, EVERY commercial, every documentary, every movie will have some homosexual content or woke angle, or it's not getting on the air". How many commercials have you seen lately where a white male was right or smart about the subject? How many straight white males have been married to straight white females? Black females make up about 6% of the population, but are more than 50% of the wives depicted on TV. You will watch women fix broken cars correcting their husbands mistakes. Even white men that are cooking in the kitchen will burn the dinner. Someone name a program today that has no homosexual character in prominent view and more than likely a heroic figure. Documentaries are very careful to portray serial pedophiles as just generic serial killers. Dahmer was a homosexual serial killer/cannibal. John Wayne Gacy raped and murdered at least 33 young boys and not one was a female. A homosexual shot up a bar and everyone argued for weeks whether or not he was a Trump voter.
The Dems have shaped the popular view for decades now and it's going to be even more unusual to find common sense and a sense of observation for the truth which someone like your 10yo son represents to thrive.
Thanks. Part of it is engaging in topics that are kinda hard to explain, but that they have questions about. I answer honestly and then ask him how he feels about it himself. Most questions about woke involve why he feels marginalized (not his words), and I encourage him to explore uncomfortable truths that are contrary to what he hears outside our bubble.
I lived through the "50's and 60's, so I could tell the stories how the Democrats were the only ones in the KKK and blocking freedom for the Blacks. The first 20-30 black Congressmen were all Republicans. How did the Dems convince Blacks that they were on their side as they were the Grand Cyclops down at the Lodge? The biggest problem Republicans have is short memories.
Pelosi started to select statues and busts to remove from congress until she noticed they were all Dems and there would be no Dem representation if she completed the removal. There were NO Republicans that owned slaves. All the South was Dems and in favor of Slavery.
I took German in HS just to be different and not take Spanish like everyone else. My teacher was in the war and lived in Germany. He taught us that Hitler was a progressive. NAZI is translated as "National Socialist Workers Party". Nazi's took over everything even though they were less than 20% of the population. He warned how easy it was to gain control before any alarms went off in the population and how easy it was to go against Christian ideals with no push back.
History is ALWAYS relevant to what is happening now. It's all been done before, we are just too close to the subject to notice. Don't allow your children to feel like "someone else will take care of it". Once it's gone, it wont come back without bloodshed, most likely.
Good for you!
The younger generations have to be exposed to conservative thinking and interpretations of history.
My grandchildren always ask me questions about history. I, too, am glad to explain it as one who was there, for almost nine decades, and saw much of it firsthand.
